Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Prepare, compound, package, and dispense sterile and non-sterile medications.
  • Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations.
  • Verify pharmacy technician work, including medication preparation, labeling, and order entry.
  • Perform medication reconciliation and provide discharge medication counseling.
  • Serve as a drug information resource for providers and hospital staff.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and controlled substance requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy environment.
  • Assist the Director of Pharmacy with quality improvement initiatives, audits, and other departmental projects.
  • Participate in the shared pharmacist on-call rotation.

Job description

Qualifications
Required

Preferred
  • Hospital pharmacy residency or hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Experience with Unit Dose, IV Admixture, TPN, and pharmacokinetics.
