Job description

Overview

The clinical generalist will provide pharmaceutical care services to patients at PRMC & Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Clinical generalists rotate through clinical and distribution services, with >60% of the month assigned to a clinical pharmacist role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounding, seven days per week.
• Oversee, monitor, prepare, dispense, and properly document patient medication therapy.
• Advise physicians on drug usage and control within assigned hospital locations.
• Provide drug information and patient counseling, and oversee dispensing processes and systems.
• Perform clinical practices such as dosing and monitoring of anticoagulants, antimicrobials (including vancomycin), total parenteral nutrition, patient‑controlled analgesia, and other medications.
• Mentor pharmacy IPPE/APPE students, five PGY1 pharmacy residents, and one PGY2 ambulatory‑care pharmacy resident.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an ACPE‑accredited institution.
• Completed PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent hospital practice experience.
• Indiana pharmacy licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• High level of clinical practice skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and strong interpersonal skills for interacting with students, health professionals, and patients.

Compensation

Pay rate: $51.94 – $77.91 per hour. Eligible for sign‑on bonus and relocation bonus.
