Temple Health seeks a Pharmacist to review orders from physicians and extenders, ensuring drug, dose, frequency, and route are appropriate. You will dispense medications after confirming allergies, history, and potential interactions.

You will also oversee students and technicians to ensure safety in the medication-use process and support discharge planning. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Pharmacy (ACPE) with PA Pharmacist License; PharmD is preferred, and hospital experience or APPE

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy accredited by ACPE is required.
• PharmD degree preferred.
• 1 year hospital experience or APPE in clinical setting preferred.
• PA Pharmacist License required.
• Basic Life Support preferred.

The Pharmacist reviews all medication orders received from Physicians and Physician Extenders and dispenses medications after assuring that drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration are appropriate. Reviews patient allergies, past medical history, drug interactions and lab information for any potential clinical conflicts prior to dispensing medications. Responsible for inventory control. Provides drug information support for other healthcare team members. The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process. The Pharmacist collaborates with the Health Care Team on the planning for continuum of care and discharge planning.

Education

Bachelor's Degree College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education Required

Doctorate Degree PharmD Preferred

Experience

1 year experience working in hospital, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting Preferred

Licenses

PA Pharmacist License Required

Basic Life Support Preferred
