VytlOne seeks a Pharmacist for Per Diem (PRN) assignments across its Pittsburgh-area clinics and retail pharmacies. The role requires a licensed pharmacist with strong patient counseling skills and the ability to float between locations as needed.

Flexibility is essential, with hours not guaranteed and pay ranging from $60 to $65 per hour depending on experience and certifications. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with PA license.
• Two years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Retail pharmacy experience is a plus.
• Ability to supervise staff and train personnel.
• Strong communication of technical information to non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient information and counseling.
• May act as interim pharmacy leader in absence of Pharmacy Manager.
• Communicate with physicians regarding prescriptions.
• Dispense prescriptions and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).
• Monitor drug therapy for interactions and allergies.
• Maintain patient medication records and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Must be willing and able to float to multiple Pittsburgh locations.

VytlOne (formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services) is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to work Per Diem (PRN) within our clinic based, retail pharmacies located throughout the Pittsburgh area. We are looking for a customer service oriented pharmacist to join our amazing team of pharmacy professionals working in the Pittsburgh region. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient information and counseling.
• In the absence of store Pharmacist-In-Charge/Pharmacy Manager, may be required to act as the alternate store leader, responsible for managing ongoing functions of the pharmacy.
• Contact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.
• Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
• Maintain patients’ medication records.
• Maintain inventory and records of controlled drugs and other drugs as required by law.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine performance of their duties.
• Provide drug information to professional staff and patients as necessary.
• Participate in inventory control programs such as ordering, inventorying and monitoring correct pricing and quantities.
• Attend and participate in programs, committees, meetings, and functions as required by the facility or pharmacy.
• Participate in educational programs for professional staff as necessary.
• Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, pharmacy staff meetings and in-service educational programs.
• Participate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.
• Exemplify excellence in customer communications and service.
• Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.
• Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.
• Maintains regular attendance in accordance with established policies.
• Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
• Comply with VytlOne’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and VytlOne’s Compliance Program.
• Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree, or Pharm. D. (preferred), from an approved school of pharmacy
• Clear/CurrentPennsylvania Pharmacist License. Must not have disciplines on license with PA BOP.

Experience:

• Two years experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred
• Retail pharmacy experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
• Ability to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
• Prior knowledge of local, state, and federal accrediting body and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
