Job summary

Circle the City Pharmacy in downtown Phoenix seeks a Pharmacist - Per Diem (PRN) to cover flexible weekends and some Fridays within Circle the City Healthcare Center. The role offers an on-site position with an estimated hourly rate of $72–$73.

PharmD or equivalent, active AZ Pharmacist license, and experience in fast-paced retail are preferred. VytlOne is the parent company; eligibility for PRN coverage is required.

Qualifications

• PharmD or equivalent demonstrated experience required.
• Current AZ Pharmacist license; no BOP disciplines on license.
• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient information and counseling.
• In absence of Pharmacist-In-Charge, may act as alternate store leader.
• Contact physicians regarding prescription questions or irregularities.
• Dispense prescriptions and prepare I.V. admixtures if applicable.
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications and interactions.
• Maintain patients’ medication records and inventories.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine duties.

Pharmacist - Per Diem (PRN) Circle the City Pharmacy

Exciting new opportunity for a full time Staff Pharmacist to work within our health center based pharmacy located inside Circle the City Healthcare Center in downtown Phoenix.VytlOne offers an integrated approach to patient care, as the pharmacy team collaborates closely with the doctors and nurses in the healthcare center. The pharmacy team will be an integral part of the care team for each patient. So, you would have a direct hand in improving outcomes. This is a chance to make a difference in helping the under-served patient population in the communities we serve. We’re looking for a caring, kind, customer service oriented pharmacist to join our rapidly growing company. VytlOne manages multiple pharmacies in the greater Phoenix area, and is headquartered in Amarillo, TX.

Candidate must be able to cover on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Pharmacy Hours of Operation are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, closed for lunch 12pm-1pm AND Sat/Sun 11am-3pm- Rotating Coverage: Need coverage mostly weekends and some Fridays

Estimated Hourly Rate is $72-$73.00 per hour

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient information and counseling.
• In the absence of store Pharmacist-In-Charge/Pharmacy Manager, may be required to act as the alternate store leader, responsible for managing ongoing functions of the pharmacy.
• Contact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.
• Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
• Maintain patients’ medication records.
• Maintain inventory and records of controlled drugs and other drugs as required by law.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine performance of their duties.
• Provide drug information to professional staff and patients as necessary.
• Participate in inventory control programs such as ordering, inventorying and monitoring correct pricing and quantities.
• Attend and participate in programs, committees, meetings, and functions as required by the facility or pharmacy.
• Participate in educational programs for professional staff as necessary.
• Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, pharmacy staff meetings and in-service educational programs.
• Participate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.
• Exemplify excellence in customer communications and service.
• Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following education and experience necessary for this position:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy
• Pharm D or equivalent demonstrated experience required
• Current/Clear AZ Pharmacist license -Must nothave disciplines from BOP on license

Experience:

• Prior experience working in a fast paced retail setting
• Strong leadership skills;
• Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team;
• Effective written and verbal communication skills;
• Prior knowledge of local, state, and federal accrediting body and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
