Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and medication therapy management in a dynamic retail setting. You will collaborate with patients and healthcare teams to optimize outcomes and ensure safety.

You will educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and costs while upholding regulatory standards and mentoring staff to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment
