Qualifications

• Must hold a current Pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or foreign equivalency.
• NAPLEX exam successfully passed.
• Willing to work at multiple locations and travel independently.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
• Possess knowledge of pharmaceutical products to make recommendations to patients and prescribers.
• Receive verbal RX orders and write them in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Interpret, fill, label and bag prescription orders accurately.
• Evaluate RX orders for patient safety and legal requirements.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and prescribers.
• Be familiar with third party billing and facilitate charges.
• Maintain accurate records including insurance and RX information.
• Make calls to prescribers and prescribers' staff.
• Operate RX computer system accurately.
• Maintain inventory and control substances according to regulations.
• Promote immunizations to patients and perform clinical activities as trained.
• Delegate ordering of supplies and supervise associates as needed.
• File prescription orders per regulations.

Education

Pharmacist license (state)

Graduate of US School of Pharmacy or foreign equivalency
