Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure medication availability and patient medication delivery.
• Counsel patients on new prescriptions and return to stock after 14 days.

Job description

• Oversee and provide direction related to quality, clinical and compliance for Apotheco Pharmacy operations initiatives in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Report to the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
• Manage staff of techs, patient care coordinators, and customer service representatives while on duty.
• Adhere to all Apotheco policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations designated by the Board of Pharmacy.
• Maintain records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
• Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
• Counsel patients on all new prescriptions.
• Perform return to stock duties for prescriptions not picked up within 14 days.
• Responsible for adherence in state environment, for all federal regulations involving prescription medication fulfillment for retail pharmacy.

Requirements

• Have earned a BS or Pharm D degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Have had at least 2 years retail experience or equivalent.
• Kentucky Pharmacist license.
• Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge
• Familiar with clinical program components, formulary designs, prescription benefit trends, and PA programs
