Job summary

Meijer in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Float Pharmacist to serve patients across the Saline Rd store and surrounding locations. You will fill prescriptions, counsel patients, supervise technicians, and help maintain pharmacy operations in a dynamic, community-focused environment.

The role requires Michigan-licensed pharmacist status, experience with immunizations, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy with active Michigan license.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and store policies.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to maintain high standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and procedures and manage operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.

REQUIRED: Must be a licensed Pharmacist in the state of Michigan. Will be required to float

As our Float Pharmacist, you play a personal role within your community by ensuring that your patients receive medication and care that they need. you must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy, promote patient care and education including patient consultation consultations and immunizations. Mentor, train and guide Pharmacy technicians.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.

• Listen to the patient and resolve patient's needs.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, working knowledge of policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates.
