Job summary

Patterson is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to support our Animal Health business. You will work closely with veterinarians and internal teams in a no-weekends, no-evenings, no-holidays setting.

Responsibilities include compliant prescription processing, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with sales to resolve issues while maintaining safe operations within a warehouse environment. English proficiency and state license eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Good computer skills with various applications
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to convey ideas clearly
• Attention to detail with ability to problem solve
• Demonstrated success in prioritizing and time-management
• Superior service-orientation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and independent performer
• Current state Board of Pharmacy license with ability to obtain reciprocal licenses in other states
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English

Responsibilities

• Ensure all prescriptions dispensed meet all federal, state and local regulatory requirements
• Provide constructive feedback to maintain safe and efficient prescription processing - Validate accuracy of all prescriptions and follow up on any discrepancies in the prescription filling process
• Maintain secure, clean and safe pharmacy/warehouse
• Business Planning Set direction and prioritize, allocate resources, set and meet deadlines - Problem solve through issues to identify, analyze and recommend solutions
• Status regularly with manager to discuss business priorities and current operations
• Partner with sales team and leadership to maintain open lines of communication and resolve systematic issues
• Communicate with veterinarians and office staff to build strong working relationships
• People Management Encourage the growth of all employees through skill development Mentor staff, measure performance, and complete and/or provide input on performance reviews Resolve employee issues in an effective and consistent manner Motivate staff to perform at their highest level and recognize their achievements - Set direction and priority, define job roles, distribute workload and set deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience
• Background in veterinary pharmacy

Physical Demands

Must be able to move product weighing up to 50 pounds onto conveyor belt up to 10 times per hour. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time. Must be able to operate a keyboard and other machinery as necessary. This position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.

Environmental Factors

This position requires low exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures, high voltage, dirt or dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, hazardous chemicals and hazardous machinery. Working environment is a typical warehouse environment.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $54.47 - $72.68
