Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Uptown in Dallas is hiring a Part Time Pharmacist to work from 2p to 10p with call responsibility one week per month. The Staff Pharmacist reviews orders for appropriateness, dispenses medications, and supervises Pharmacy Technicians according to hospital policies.

Active Texas Pharmacist license with a sterile compounding certificate is required, along with at least two years of hospital pharmacy experience and knowledge of JC/CMS standards.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Uptown provides a wide range of medical and surgical services for to the greater North Texas area across 8 ORs, 24 private Inpatient rooms, a full-service ED. The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Uptown is searching to hire a Part Time Pharmacist with flexibility to work from 2p - 10p with call responsibility one week per month.

Job Summary:

• The Staff Pharmacist reviews, interprets and evaluates physician orders for appropriateness against the available patient information and current therapy in regard to allergies potential drug interactions, etc. -
• Dispenses medications in accordance with federal, state regulations and hospital policies.
• Provides direct supervision of Pharmacy Technician(s) performing support functions.

Required Skills:

Education/License:

• Active pharmacist registration issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Certificate in sterile compounding

Required Experience:

• Two (2) years hospital pharmacy experience
• Demonstrate competent administrative, leadership and management skills
• Demonstrate knowledge of the development needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
• Knowledge of Joint Commission (JC) and CMS (Medicare/Medicaid) standards affecting pharmacy.
• Must possess ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel, medical staff and the general public.
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions.
