Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is expanding to a new Roanoke, VA location and seeks a licensed Pharmacist. Relocation is welcome. The role focuses on long-term care pharmacy services, verifying orders, counseling staff, and ensuring safe, compliant medication distribution.

Open to relocation candidates, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus split across two years. The schedule runs weekdays 10:00 AM–6:30 PM with on-call duties as needed. Benefits include health and life coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Experience in hospital/retail pharmacy or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosing, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when needed.
• Maintain customers’ database with medical history, clinical data and labs.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and other healthcare team members about medications.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Maintain controlled drug register for legality and stock control.
• Ensure proper security conditions for medications.
• Perform on-call duties when required.
