Job summary

Meijer is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Michigan. The role focuses on patient-centered care, immunizations, and maintaining strong relationships with patients and staff.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations in the pharmacist's absence, coaching technicians, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The position emphasizes education, clinical services, and advancing patient care within a community retail setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Comply with Meijer Policies and Procedures and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Demonstrate strong organization and priority management.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs; provide excellent customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
