Job summary

RXinsider LTD. is seeking a highly capable Pharmacist Manager to oversee all aspects of pharmacy practice and financial performance within regulatory and corporate policies. You will monitor the budget, reduce overtime, train staff, manage pricing and inventory, and lead clinical service initiatives.

You will supervise the pharmacy team, ensure compliance, and drive improvements in customer service and efficiency. Travel for business needs is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or B.Pharm degree from an accredited U.S. school.
• 2+ years retail pharmacy experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Licensed pharmacist in good standing.
• Willingness for continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist and model leadership for the pharmacy team.
• Develop, implement, supervise, and promote sales initiatives as directed by the division pharmacy department.
• Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements for pharmacy operations.
• Direct the team to optimize warehouse utilization, control inventory, and minimize overstock and unnecessary labor costs.
• Monitor controlled substances procedures and ensure compliance.
• Manage third-party profitability, handling rejections and audits promptly.
• Schedule staff to optimize labor costs while meeting service levels.
• Maintain all required pharmacy records per laws and policies.
• Lead detailing visits to physicians and community targets to promote services.
• Support public health initiatives and disease state management programs.

Description

Accountable for all aspects of pharmacy practice, within the limits of state and federal laws and corporate policies. Manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by monitoring the pharmacy budget, minimizing or altogether avoiding unauthorized overtime, performing necessary pharmacy staff training and development, providing excellence in customer service, managing prescription pricing and generic utilization, controlling pharmacy inventory, and providing/implementing/participating in corporate approved clinical services. Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist and act as a role model for the pharmacy team; appropriately handle customer complaints and direct workflow to reduce customer wait times
• Develop, implement, supervise, and promote the sales plan and other sales initiatives as developed by the division pharmacy department
• Perform all the duties required and expected of a registered pharmacist in the state of employment and responsible for following all legal and company requirements
• Direct the pharmacy team to achieve warehouse utilization goals, avoid unnecessary overstock, reduce the number of fill on-arrival prescriptions, and ensure that all staff members are trained, aware of and follow proper ordering and inventory record keeping procedures
• Comply with all corporate mandated controlled substance operating procedures
• Monitor third-party or insurance profitability; handle third-party problems, rejections, and audits in a timely fashion
• Schedule all pharmacy staff members in a manner to help control or avoid unnecessary labor costs
• Maintain all pharmacy records required by state and federal laws and company policies
• Direct pharmacy to meet budgeted labor, volume, inventory and sales goals
• Perform effective detailing visiting local physicians and other community targets
• Promote, implement, and participate in public health initiatives and disease state management services
• Travel independently as needed to support business needs
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide direct feedback to direct reports

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy
• 2+ years related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Participation in clinical programs following company sponsored training
• Ability and willingness to continue education as necessary
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions and documents
• Proven leadership skills
• License must be in good standing
