Job summary

Walgreens in Maine is seeking a Pharmacist to provide expert-level pharmaceutical care and counseling to patients. You’ll perform immunizations, medication therapy management, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a retail setting.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year of retail pharmacist experience including prescription filling and verification.
Experience with pharmacy operations, software and insurance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients
Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options
Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management
Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance
Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment
