UW Medical Center-Northwest Pharmacy Department is offering a Pharmacist Intern - Year One position. Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will perform technical pharmaceutical tasks including compounding, filling orders, and preparing sterile products, gaining hands-on experience in a busy hospital pharmacy.

Open only to currently enrolled UW School of Pharmacy students, this per diem role features rotating/variable shifts, requires WA Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern

Qualifications

• Open only to currently enrolled UW School of Pharmacy students.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern with the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain repackaging records.
• Load drawers for the PYXIS and unit dose medication distribution system.
• Deliver medications.
• Package medications into single-unit packages.
• Restock and pull outdates off shelves in the pharmacy.
• Maintain the stock levels of ward stock on the nursing units.
• Prepare pharmaceutical solutions for external use.
