Job summary

Must be knowledgeable of standard pharmaceutical techniques and procedures, laws governing the practice of pharmacy, drug incompatibilities and interactions, pharmacology and toxicology. Job duties include but are not limited to: review of medication orders, clinical consultation, staff education, patient counseling, continuous quality improvement initiatives, pharmacist-managed dosing programs and pharmacy related research.

  • Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing within normal range. Operates computer, typewriter, calculator. Finger dexterity. Eye-hand coordination. Frequent sitting, standing and walking. May lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Some exposure to chemical hazards when making chemotherapy.
