Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Clinical Specialist to provide clinical pharmacy services, ensure safe procurement, preparation, labeling and distribution of medications, and support program development across patient areas. The role emphasizes adherence to patient safety, precision in dosing and monitoring, and collaboration with care teams to optimize outcomes.

A Florida pharmacist license or eligibility with Board Certification is required, along with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy from College of Pharmacy.
• Current FL Pharmacist license or license eligible, Board Certified.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs to ensure clinical services meet the requirements and needs of the patient population and community.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support and execute clinical pharmacy programs for all patient areas.
• Review medication orders and quality of technicians work to ensure appropriateness of drugs ordered, dosage, route and interactions. Adjust medications dosage/schedule as appropriate for patient condition as per policy.
• Ensure medications are safely dispensed to patients in accordance with age specific guidelines. You must follow appropriate procedures for the sterile preparation of IV admixtures in compliance with USP 797 standards.

Job Summary and Qualifications
