Job summary

Metrocare Services in Dallas, Texas seeks a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee the outpatient pharmacy, ensure safe dispensing, and coordinate with clinic management. The ideal candidate will have a Texas license and at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience, with strong leadership and patient counseling skills.

The role requires compliance with state board rules, inventory control for narcotics, and collaboration with physicians to support high-quality behavioral health and primary care

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with current Texas license.
• 1 year of retail pharmacy experience and 1 year of internship.
• Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language a plus.
• Familiar with all functions of a pharmacy department.

Responsibilities

• Handle all dispensing functions and uphold state board rules.
• Compound and prepare ordered pharmaceutical preparations.
• Consult with physicians as needed.
• Maintain inventory and records for narcotics.
• Provide patient counseling and resolve patient issues.
• Organize daily operational duties and manage workflow.
• Provide direction and coaching of pharmacy technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director.
