The ideal candidate holds a MA license, 5–10 years in hospital and retail settings, with long term care experience preferred, and demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, plus computer and ECM software familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist in MA required.
  • 5–10 years in hospital and/or retail pharmacy or related medical field.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills; ECM software knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions and administration.
  • Ensure medications are dispensed, labeled correctly and supplied properly.
  • Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when needed.
  • Maintain customers' medical histories, clinical data and laboratory results.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and healthcare team on medication queries.
  • Supervise preparation of medicines.
  • Maintain register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control.
  • Ensure proper security for medications.
  • Perform on-call duties as required.

Pharmacy in Massachusetts seeks a Full Time Pharmacist In Charge

The Pharmacist In Charge will ensure the adherence of the pharmacy procedures and SOPs. In accordance with company laws, state and federal regulations. The Pharmacist In Charge will ensure regulations are correct and safe supply of medical products to the client facilities, under the general supervision of the COO.

Pharmacist In Charge Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration.
  • Maintain dispense medications are correctly supplied and labeled.
  • Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
  • Maintain customers' database including but not limited to medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
  • Communicate with facilities' nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related queries.
  • Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
  • Maintain a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
  • Maintain proper security conditions for medications.
  • Perform "on-call" duties when required.
Pharmacist In Charge Qualifications:
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of MA.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Framework/ECM software knowledge a plus.
