Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 seeks a licensed pharmacist to administer medication dispensing with accuracy and patient education. You will oversee daily pharmacy operations, communicate with prescribers, and provide counseling to patients while supporting immunizations and MTM programs.

You will supervise staff, train interns/technicians, and ensure compliance with laws and company policies, while delivering friendly and efficient service to Price Chopper customers.

Qualifications

• 5 year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, including maintenance of necessary records, accurate third party adjudication and patient charges, and inventory management.
• Counsels patients and medical providers regarding drugs, dosage, interactions, and side effects, and monitors patient health and progress to ensure compliance and optimize therapies.
• Participates in patient centered services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
• Supervises personnel in the daily operation of the pharmacy department and ensures compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provides guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and associates; monitors performance.
• Uses professional judgment to provide quality service within the pharmacist scope of practice.
• Participates in business development activities in the store and community.
• Contributes to continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains neat, clean, and organized workstation and department facilities.
• Completes required continuing education programs as required by state law.

Responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy department. Communicates with prescribers and offers counseling and assistance to patients with their health care concerns. Participates in patient centered services such as immunizations and MTM (Medication Therapy Management). Provides friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers.

Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
