Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide expert-level pharmacy consulting and medication management across patient care settings. The role includes immunizations, patient education, and collaborative practice with pharmacy teams.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy, active licensure in the district, and immunization certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days. Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of retail pharmacist experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
