Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team and deliver expert-level pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and medication therapy management. You will ensure medication safety, educate patients, and collaborate with a supportive team in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Education

Pharmacist degree (BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy)

Current pharmacist licensure in the district states

Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days
