Make an Impact Beyond the Prescription.

Are you a Pharmacist looking for an opportunity where your work goes beyond dispensing medications? Family Health Source is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our growing pharmacy team.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we serve diverse communities throughout Volusia County with a mission centered on access, quality, and compassionate care. Our pharmacists are an important part of the care team—helping patients understand their medications, overcome barriers to treatment, and achieve better health outcomes.

If you enjoy community pharmacy but are looking for an environment where you can build meaningful patient relationships and work collaboratively with providers and clinical teams, we would love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

As a Pharmacist with Family Health Source, you will provide safe, accurate, and patient-centered pharmacy services while supporting the overall operation of our pharmacies. Responsibilities include:

Review, interpret, and evaluate prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, dosing concerns, and potential medication-related problems.

Accurately verify and dispense medications in accordance with Florida law, federal regulations, and organizational policies.

Review patient medication histories and profiles to promote safe and effective drug therapy.

Provide individualized medication counseling, education, and drug information to patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.

Identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related concerns and document pharmacist interventions as appropriate.

Support medication therapy management and other pharmacy-based clinical services within the Pharmacist's scope of practice.

Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.

Provide direct supervision, guidance, training, and development to pharmacy technicians and other assigned pharmacy staff.

Organize and support pharmacy workflow to promote accurate, timely, and efficient prescription processing.

Ensure proper and secure storage, handling, and maintenance of medications and pharmacy inventory.

Maintain required pharmacy records in accordance with federal, state, DEA, and Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements.

Process and oversee prescription insurance claims, assist with resolving third-party payer rejections, and participate in applicable audits.

Support compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program, including applicable policies, procedures, and program requirements.

Assist the Pharmacy Manager and/or Director of Pharmacy with inventory management, pharmacy financial performance, customer service, asset protection, and operational improvements.

Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational requirements.

Follow OSHA, infection-control, safety, and universal precaution requirements.

Participate in required meetings, trainings, committees, and organizational initiatives.

Maintain professional and clinical competencies necessary to provide high-quality pharmacy services.

Perform other duties as assigned based on patient-care and organizational needs.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy program.

Current, clear, and active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.

One year of retail, community, ambulatory care, or similar pharmacy experience preferred.

FQHC, community health center, ambulatory care, and/or 340B pharmacy experience is highly preferred.

Working knowledge of applicable federal and Florida pharmacy regulations.

Experience with pharmacy software and electronic health records.

Experience with Rx30 and eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

You'll Be a Great Fit If You:

Are passionate about improving access to medications and healthcare.

Enjoy educating patients and helping them better understand their medications.

Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and active-listening skills.

Are highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to medication and patient safety.

Can effectively prioritize responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Approach patient concerns with compassion, professionalism, and empathy.

Are comfortable supervising and supporting pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff.

Enjoy collaborating with providers and other members of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Are proactive, dependable, and solutions-focused.

Have a genuine interest in serving diverse and medically underserved communities.
