You will verify medications for accuracy, counsel patients, and collaborate with prescribers to resolve clinical questions, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. A Texas license and PharmD are required, with readiness to work a mix of on-site duties and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Active Texas Pharmacy license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy technicians in support of the pharmacy manager.
• Oversee data entry by pharmacy staff from providers and receiving pharmacies.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and destroy relevant documentation.
• Assist the pharmacy manager with processing and transferring prescriptions end-to-end.
• Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a high-volume environment.
• Review and clinically verify prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness and dosing accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and medication education via phone.
• Collaborate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and address issues.
• Operate in a safe, compliant manner per policies and laws.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy leadership and staff.
