Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Oncology team at Baptist MD Anderson. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Oncology experience and board certification in Pharmacy/Oncology. The role is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm, with flexibility to meet business needs.

Located at Baptist MD Anderson, you will be part of an integrated team across ambulatory and inpatient settings, focusing on safe and cost-effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license issued by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Active state license required to practice as a pharmacist in Florida.
• Board certification in Oncology is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered medication management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Offer clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other staff in ambulatory and inpatient settings when clinically appropriate.
• Apply pharmaceutical care plans to optimize patient outcomes through design, monitoring and modification.
• Leverage disease-state expertise and knowledge of oncology reimbursement, guidelines, and formulary management.
• Educate patients, families, healthcare providers, and pharmacy students about medications and therapies.

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our Oncology team at Baptist MD Anderson! The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working on Oncology and be Board Certified in Pharmacy/Oncology. This position will be Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm with emphasis on the need to be flexible to accommodate the growing needs of the business and support team members.

As a Pharmacist, You Will Be Responsible For

• Provides safe, evidence-based, cost effective, and patient centered medication management as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Responsible for providing clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other staff when caring for patients in the ambulatory clinics, and while inpatient, if clinically appropriate.
• A high level of expertise is utilized to recommend, design, implement, monitor, and modify pharmaceutical care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
• Extensive clinical experience within their disease state specialization as well as pharmacy, practice experience including medication safety, formulary management, pathway/guideline development, policy development/implementation, oncology reimbursement and coverage, and clinical research.
• Have an active role in the education of patients and family members, healthcare providers, and pharmacy students and residents.

Education & Credential Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required
• Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required
• Bachelor of Science Required

A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required. In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred and PGY1 Residency is preferred.

This Pharmacist position will be located at Baptist MD Anderson.
