This is a full time variable shift Pharmacist position for SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin working a total of 36 hours per week. Shifts are 8 hours and a combination of days and evenings and occasional overnight coverage. Day shift starts as early as 6:30 a.m. and evening shift goes to 11:00 p.m. The schedule also includes an every third weekend rotation.
A one‑time sign on bonus (less taxes) may be available to qualified individuals with a 2 year service commitment.
Provides pharmaceutical care to patients, verifies medication orders, compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and hospital policy. Serves as a resource to other healthcare professionals including pharmacy students and residents and ensures that patient care meets standards of safety and effectiveness. Oversees the duties of the pharmacy technicians and interns.
Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
