  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification and/or relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices.
  • Provide drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers regarding medication use, dosage, side effects, and administration instructions.
  • Stay current with updated medication formularies, new drug therapies, treatment protocols, and emerging medical research through continuous professional development and clinical education.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate collaborative care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide top-of-scope pharmacy support using evidence-based protocols and best practices to promote safety at the point of care.
  • Value and effectively partner with multidisciplinary teams to achieve care outcomes, prioritize wellness, and promote evidence-based practice.
  • Model proficiency through precepting and mentoring newer healthcare staff or new UCHealth staff.
  • Contribute proactively to solutions to secure safety and quality at point of care.

  • Department: YVMC Pharmacy
  • Work Schedule: Full Time, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
  • Shift: Day and Evening Rotation
  • Pay: $59.80 - $83.72 / hour (dependent on experience)
  • This is an onsite role; no hybrid or remote option
Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile and self‑directed Pharmacist to support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. The role requires autonomy, sound clinical judgment, and ability to manage responsibilities independently while communicating with the broader care team.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification and/or relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level.
Preferences
  • Active pharmacist licensure in Colorado and Wyoming (or eligibility to obtain both).
  • Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient pharmacy practice, with willingness to learn and cross‑train into the other setting.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with shifts that may include day, evening, or night hours, and participation in an inpatient weekend rotation.
