Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacist to join Baptist South on a PRN basis. This central pharmacy role spans IV room and OR satellite with day, evening, night and weekend shifts, supervising technicians and consulting with medical staff.

Florida license is required; inpatient hospital experience preferred and PGY1 residency preferred. Location is Baptist South, South - Main Building, offering opportunities to gain clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center South!

This is a PRN, various shift opportunity at our beautiful campus at Baptist South. This is a central operations role within the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The shift times would vary from day, evening, night and weekend shifts. This Pharmacist will be working in the central pharmacy checking patient orders, authorizations, and dispensing medications. This Pharmacist will be supervising technicians and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This is an opportunity to do hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and gain clinical experience.

A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required. In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred and PGY1 Residency is preferred.
