Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a pharmacist to join our team in a patient-focused role at our New Jersey locations. You will provide expert pharmaceutical consultations, educate patients on medication usage, and deliver immunizations and other clinical services.

The position emphasizes medication safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with pharmacy teammates to support high-quality care for customers and communities.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling, verification, records and legal compliance, and pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
