ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for filling and dispensing of medication orders, and proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy.
• Responsible for ordering, supplying, and maintaining necessary supplies of drugs to all patient care areas.
• Maintains standards set by the department and translates policies and procedures in the daily operation of the pharmacy.
• Acts as a drug information resource for medical staff, nursing staff, and patients.
• Plans and organizes work schedule of support staff and pharmacists, as required.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Performs Other Job Duties As Needed And/or As Assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One to three years of registered pharmacist experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Basic Computer Skills Are Required.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Must hold a current state Pharmacist license.
• De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
