Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Pharmacist at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. The role is full-time with benefits; you will review patient profiles, ensure accurate dispensing details, and intervene when necessary to optimize therapy and safety.

The position requires a pharmacy degree (PharmD/BS/MS), active state license, and at least one year of post-graduation experience; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a pharmacy degree (PharmD, BS, or MS).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience after graduation.
• BLS certification required and active state license.

Responsibilities

• Review patient profiles at dispensing to monitor therapy.
• Ensure accurate directions, dosing, interactions, and allergies; intervene when discrepancies are noted.
• Compound medications as required and ensure accuracy of products.
• Supervise inventory, including controlled substances, and maintain security and records.

Job Requirements

• BLS Certification
• Any state license
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy
• The Pharmacist must possess at least a 1 year pharmacy experience after graduation

Job Duties Include But Not Limited To

• Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing to closely monitor medication therapy.
• Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.
• Compound medications as required.
• Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
• Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations
