RPh on the Go is seeking two Sterile Compounding Pharmacists for full-time, 13-week contracts to support a home infusion pharmacy in Texas. These roles suit pharmacists with sterile compounding, infusion, or clinically focused experience who thrive in a fast-paced setting.

The schedule is full-time (12:00 PM–8:00 PM). Candidates must have PharmD or accredited degree and a Texas Pharmacist license, with experience in sterile IV compounding and home infusion practices.

• Active Texas Pharmacist license.
• Strong clinical knowledge of home infusion practices.
• Ability to interpret laboratory values and apply pharmacokinetic principles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for home infusion therapy and determine eligibility for home-based care.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized medication therapy plans based on clinical assessments, laboratory values, and pharmacokinetic principles.
• Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile medications in accordance with USP standards, state and federal regulations, and pharmacy policies.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding medication therapy, infusion administration, and proper medication use.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to promote continuity of care and monitor patient outcomes.
• Manage infusion pumps and medication administration equipment while maintaining quality assurance and safety standards.
• Provide drug information and clinical support as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy documentation.
• Support medication safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.

These positions are ideal for pharmacists with sterile compounding, infusion, or other clinically focused pharmacy experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Term of Assignment: 13-week contract

Schedule: Full-time (12:00 PM–8:00 PM)

Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Clear and active Texas Pharmacist license
• Strong clinical knowledge of home infusion pharmacy practices
• Ability to interpret laboratory values and apply pharmacokinetic principles
• Strong communication, patient counseling, and customer service skills

Candidates must also meet at least one of the following experience qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of sterile IV compounding experience
• Experience with non-sterile compounding, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency
• Completion of an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)

Preferred Experience:

• IV medications
• TPN preparation and verification
• Home infusion pharmacy
• Sterile Compounding and/or IV Certification
