Job summary

Encompass Health invites a skilled Pharmacist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure safe medication use, and contribute to policy and procedure development that aligns with Joint Commission standards.

You will actively participate in the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, and you will perform accurate interpretation, compounding, and dispensing of medications in a compliant, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold a degree from a U.S.-accredited program or an international program evaluated as substantially equivalent.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily pharmacy operations to meet customer and patient expectations.
• Contributing to the development of pharmacy-specific policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulations.
• Active participation in the interdisciplinary team, leveraging information for positive patient outcomes.
• Accurate interpretation, compounding, and dispensing of medication in adherence to legal and professional standards.

License or Certification:

• Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board for the State in which the hospital is located.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a pharmacy degree from a U.S.-accredited program or from an international program evaluated by a recognized certifying agency as substantially equivalent to U.S. accreditation standards required.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
