About the Position

The pharmacist is expected to efficiently and accurately verify and dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and to provide information to health practitioners and patients about proper usage of medications under the Director for Clinical Support, Pharmacy. Current pharmacy hours of operation are 0700-1630 Monday-Friday.

Basic Requirement fo

Pharmacist

Education

A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

Exemption

You are exempt from the basic requirement above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status.

Licensure

A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.

Experience

One year of professional pharmacy experience which includes dispensing, prescribing and/ or administering medicine; Interviewing patients to assess for drug allergies and past adverse medication reactions and conducting medication reconciliation.
