Position Overview
Performs the duties of Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statutes as well as SHS policies. Prepares and dispenses medication; assesses clinical status of patients (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). Provides drug information to the medical team and educates patients.
Department Description
Samaritan Pharmacy‑Lincoln City is a community pharmacy located next to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. It is open to any member of the public. The primary role of the pharmacy is to dispense community patient prescriptions while also offering immunizations, medication management services and discharge medications to bedside. The pharmacy is staffed by experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians dedicated to patient care.
Experience, Education & Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre‑employment/post‑offer drug screen.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within 90 days of hire.
- Successful completion of Pharmacist Immunization Certification required within one (1) year of hire.

- Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and discuss issues tactfully.
- Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas.
- Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications; ability to operate applications, set up functions, enter data, and manipulate and process information.
- Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics with sensitivity and a non‑judgmental attitude.
