Job summary

Net2Source, Inc. is seeking an inpatient Pharmacist for a contract role in Cincinnati, OH. You will contribute to the daily operation of the Pharmacy Department, dispensing medications and supporting clinical and operational processes.

Under supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, you will ensure accurate orders, maintain records, and uphold safety and regulatory requirements in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital pharmacist experience.
• Epic experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Demonstrated pharmacy practice skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication.
• One or two (1or2) years hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Understands the Epic system to review, verify, and prioritize orders; ensure correct dose, frequency and administration times; supports the formulary.
• Accurately dispenses properly labeled medications following the scanning process; follows USP guidelines (797/800); understands Abacus software/Baxa pump.
• Prioritizes and monitors daily operations using support personnel to maintain patient care services.
• Monitors drug supply and initiates orders; inspects inventory for outdated drugs.
• Maintains pharmacy records per State, Federal and Department regulations for narcotics and controlled drugs.
• Follows safety policies and represents the hospital positively.
• Assists in problem-solving with health care professionals; shows initiative for quality improvement.

Schedule: Evenings, shifts either 4x10s or 5x8s (training will be during Day shift)

Pay Range:

Local: $70.00 - $75.00/hr. ($2,800 - $3,000/week)

Travel: $81.15 - $86.15/hr. ($3,246 - $3,446/week)

Job Summary:

• Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, and according to standard procedure, an inpatient pharmacist compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceuticals upon receiving orders from a licensed practitioner; performs all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs; supervises support personnel in all work areas as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understands the Epic system which allows them to effectively review, verify, and prioritize orders using the chart to ensure medications prescribed are the appropriate dose, frequency and administration times; drug allergies, drug-drug interactions, drug-disease and incompatibilities are avoided. Supports the formulary.
• Accurately dispenses properly labeled medications following the scanning process. Supports and follows the most up to date USP guidelines (797/800). Understands the Abacus software / Baxa pump.
• Prioritizes and monitors daily operational duties in assigned areas using support personnel in the most effective manner, including coordination of break and lunch (dinner), to ensure patient care services are maintained.
• Monitors drug supply and initiates orders as required as well as regularly inspecting pharmacy and assigned department inventory to ensure that drugs which are outdated are removed from stock.
• Properly maintains all pharmacy records as required by State, Federal and Department of Pharmacy regulations for the dispensing and disposition of narcotics, dangerous drugs and investigational drugs.
• Follows departmental and hospital safety policies and procedures.
• As a representative of The Hospital, promotes a positive image in all dealings with all other hospital employees and hospital guests.
• Assists in the identification and problem-solving activities within the department and with other health care professionals. Shows initiative for quality improvement.

Required:

• 3+ years of hospital pharmacist experience (large medical center).
• Epic experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Demonstrated pharmacy practice skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication.
• One or two (1or2) years hospital experience.

Additional Skills:

• Familiar with sterile compounding (overseeing/checking), order verification, checking sterile products, checking dose meds, checking Pyxis, fielding questions from patients/doctors, IV room, Ecmo, CRRT, consults, antibiotic dosing, etc.
