Job summary

Dignity Health - St. Johns Hospital Camarillo, CA, is seeking a Pharmacist to procure, manufacture, compound, dispense, and administer drugs in accordance with state and federal laws and hospital policies.

The role includes providing drug information to health professionals, patients, and families, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety. The ideal candidate will hold a California Pharmacist license, have a Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD preferred), and possess experience in acute care

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree required.
• Current and valid California license to practice pharmacy.
• PharmD degree preferred.
• One year of acute care hospital pharmacy preferred with experience in IV admixture, unit dose distribution, pharmacokinetics dosing, pharmacy intervention and medication usage evaluation.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the procuring, manufacturing, compounding, dispensing, distributing, storing and administration drugs, biologicals, and chemicals according to standard practices of the professional, State and Federal laws and regulations, and Departmental policies and procedures.

Every day, you will be responsible for provision of drug information to other health professionals, patients and their families, and the public.

To be sucessfull in this role, you will pay strong attention to detail and follow both oral and written directions.

• Ability to exercise sound and professional judgement in the performance of the job functions.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze complex tasks, systems, problems, and design and implement the most effective solution. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, the patient and their family, and the public.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, principles, methods and equipment utilized in providing Pharmaceutical services. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Current and valid California license to practice pharmacy

$69.41 - $103.25 /hour
