Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Birmingham, AL is hiring for a radiopharmaceutical production role responsible for manufacturing and distributing positron emitting radiopharmaceuticals, while upholding cGMP and radiation safety standards.

The role covers production of radionuclides, aseptic testing, QC procedures, documentation, shipments, and equipment support for cyclotron and chemistry modules, with a comprehensive benefits package and a commitment to equal opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Provides operational support in compliance with PET cGMP, radiation safety program, license commitments and corporate policies in the manufacture and distribution of quality positron emitting radiopharmaceuticals to medical care providers.
  • Responsible for the production of radionuclides and the preparation, testing, and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory commitments including the cGMP, Radiation Safety, Pharmacy laws and corporate policies and procedures and other applicable Federal, State and Local authorities.
  • Responsible and accountable under State Pharmacy Law, for all actions of personnel working in the permitted pharmacy area, in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager (PIC).
  • Delivers and ensures performance of aseptic techniques, including sterility test and pyrogen testing per company standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures performance of QC procedures using analytical equipment and chemical tests per company standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains all applicable documents and records.
  • Prepares shipment of radioactive materials according to procedure and licensing authorities requirements.
  • Provides support in operation and maintenance of cyclotron, chemistry modules, QC equipment and associated software.

The base pay range for this position is:

$111,910 - $153,879

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
