Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, CA, seeks a Pharmacist to coordinate the pharmacy department and ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care with patient safety as a priority. Per Diem shift; flexible coverage as needed.

Required active Pharmacist license in the state, hospital pharmacy experience preferred, BS in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred, and BLS/ACLS certification is encouraged. Immunization certification and BLS are mandatory where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
• BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
• APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety.
• The scope of patient care may include General Medicine/Surgical, ICU, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (as Applicable Required)

• APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.
