Job summary

Drug Enforcement Administration in the United States is seeking qualified diversions investigators to enforce the CSA and CDTA, ensuring lawful manufacture, distribution and dispensing of regulated substances. You will conduct investigations, gather evidence, and present findings to support actions and enforcement.

Successful candidates will coordinate with federal, state and local partners, participate in multi‑jurisdictional programs, and may relocate as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required and Selective Service registration is required.
• Background investigation must be completed and security clearance obtained.
• Basic Diversion Investigator Course at Quantico, VA must be completed.
• Education may substitute experience for GS levels as described.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to ensure CSA and CDTA compliance in the regulated industry.
• Collect/analyze information, interview subjects, prepare reports and recommendations.
• Prepare written materials and guidance for regulatory actions or proceedings.
• Liaise with Federal, State and Local agencies to promote information exchange.
• Plan and participate in multi-jurisdictional programs addressing diversion.
