Job summary

Stokes Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Tablet Press Operator to assist in the non-sterile compounding lab. The role involves weighing materials, setting up and operating tablet press equipment, and ensuring production schedules are met.

Candidates should have strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow safety protocols and gowning requirements. The position is 1st shift with potential for overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English fluently.
• In-house Technician Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Protective gear (gown, hair bonnet, mask, gloves, etc.) must be worn during compounding.
• Able to stand/sit 8–10 hours and lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Weigh powders for tablet production and set up tablet press.
• Operate tablet press per schedule; maintain calibration.
• Disassemble and clean tablet press after runs; sanitize area.
• Maintain cleanliness of tablet press room and logs for runs.
• Perform in-process tests (weight, thickness, hardness, friability, visuals).
• Report equipment needs and follow safety guidelines per SOPs.
