Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Analyst to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Welkom. You will perform analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in a GLP/GMP environment to ensure regulatory compliance and product safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field and 1–3 years of QA laboratory experience with HPLC and dissolution testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with common analytical techniques, particularly HPLC and dissolution testing.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., SAHPRA).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Effective communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products according to established specifications and methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution testers.
• Document all testing activities accurately and in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, participating in root cause analysis.
• Prepare analytical reagents and standards as needed.
• Review and maintain quality control records, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
