Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking a QA/QC Inspector with welding/piping experience to support a pharmaceutical/life sciences construction project in Clayton, North Carolina. The role emphasizes visual weld inspection (VT), documentation review, field verification, and compliance monitoring to ensure installations meet industry codes, client specs, and cGMP requirements.

On-site work with potential extended hours; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years QA/QC inspection experience in regulated life sciences environments.
• NDT VT Level II inspection experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, welding procedures, and specifications.
• Experience in cleanroom or classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform Visual Testing (VT) inspections per ASNT Level II requirements.
• Inspect stainless steel process piping, hygienic welds, supports, and mechanical systems.
• Verify compliance with project specs and client standards.
• Identify non-conformances and issue quality deficiency reports.
• Support walkdowns and system turnover activities.
• Maintain inspection docs and daily field reports.
