Job summary

WuXi AppTec Group in the United States is seeking an Operator I to support cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing by executing batch operations, cleaning and setup, in-process checks, and documentation with a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time performance.

This role operates designated equipment and collaborates with QA, QC, MSAT/Process Engineering, and Maintenance in a regulated environment to ensure compliance and timely production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or technical certificate in a science/technical field.
• Experience working in GMP/pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read P&IDs and batch records clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform batch operations per approved records and document results.
• Set up and run equipment (blenders, presses, coaters) within validated parameters.
• Conduct in-process checks (pH, weights, torque) and adjust under supervision.
• Support line clearances, changeovers, and equipment setup between batches.
• Work in ISO 8-7 classified areas using aseptic techniques.
• Assist with investigations, deviations, and CAPAs as needed.
