Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Rosenberg, TX site. This hands‑on role collaborates across Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Packaging, Validation, and R&D to solve day‑to‑day challenges and drive lasting improvements in pharmaceutical production.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and 3–5+ years of pharma manufacturing engineering experience, including on‑the‑floor support and knowledge of FDA/cGMP requirements, IQ/OQ/PQ, and CAPA/RCAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing engineering experience; candidates with 5+ years are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FDA requirements, cGMP, and regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing practices.
• Direct experience with semi‑solid products (creams, ointments, suppositories) and/or liquid products (solutions, suspensions).
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting manufacturing and packaging equipment to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, startup, qualification, and validation.
• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ, process validation, and cleaning validation.
• Experience with deviations, RCA, CAPA, and change control.
• Comfort spending significant time on the manufacturing floor supporting day‑to‑day operations.

Responsibilities

• Support Rosenberg site across Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Packaging, Validation, and R&D to drive improvements.
• Identify root causes of downtime and implement sustainable process and equipment enhancements.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, startup, qualification, and validation activities.
