Job summary

Cogent Scientific, a contract research organization, seeks a Pharma Lab Technician to support laboratory operations and sample prep. You will prepare buffers, weigh samples, and help maintain NMR instrumentation, contributing to a clean, compliant lab environment.

Ideal candidates hold an AS in chemistry/biology, can lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate effectively in a collaborative team setting within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• AS degree in chemistry, biology or related science.
• Able to lift 10 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Team player mentality with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have good organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated with adaptability in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare buffers and solutions for labs and instrumentation.
• General sample prep support including weighing and solubilizing samples.
• Fill NMR systems with nitrogen weekly.
• Assist with inventory duties and restock supply room as needed.
• Maintain clean laboratory environments and proper disposal of items.
• Other duties as needed/requested.

This is a day shift position (approx. 8a-5p local time).
