Job summary

LAPORTE is seeking an Architect in Raleigh-Durham, NC for a full-time, hybrid role. You will contribute to laboratory and manufacturing facility projects within the Pharmaceutical Industry Group, delivering design concepts, documentation, and coordination across disciplines.

You will work under the Architectural Services leadership to ensure technical quality and adherence to client standards, with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program; licensure achieved or on the path to licensure.
• At least 5 years of professional architectural design experience required.
• Preferred experience with industrial manufacturing projects.
• Expert-level proficiency with Autodesk Revit required.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam preferred.
• Knowledge of building and accessibility codes required; applicable to industrial/lab facilities.
• Ability to lead architectural design scope across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and sub-consultants.
• Work with project design teams on architectural design scope for pharmaceutical labs and manufacturing plants.
• Develop concepts and documentation for permitting and construction.
• Coordinate design activities with project managers to deliver on time and with quality.
• Contribute to coordination, detailing, and product selections per client standards.
• Support construction administration activities including submittals and RFI responses.
