Job summary

GSK Zebulon site in the United States is seeking an experienced engineer to drive mechanical and automation initiatives, supporting the site strategy with expert troubleshooting and project leadership.

You will partner with Production, Maintenance, Technical, Quality and EHS to deliver improvements, ensure qualification activities, and mentor fellow engineers in automation and controls technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, automation, chemical engineering or related discipline; or AAS/technical diploma with 10+ years' relevant experience.
• 5+ years detailed experience delivering mechanical and/or automation projects in the Pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience troubleshooting production equipment, instrumentation and controls.
• Experience preparing and executing FAT, SAT, loop checks, and software testing for qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a detailed and expert knowledge of current and future pharmaceutical platform technologies, with emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Deliver continuous improvement projects to meet functionality, cost, quality and schedule requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production to troubleshoot day-to-day issues.
• Provide SME input for regulatory inspections and audits as needed.
• Interface with site stakeholders to ensure project benefits are realized.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with Shared Services and other sites.
