Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a seasoned project leader to drive New Product Introduction initiatives at our North Chicago site. This role oversees NPI launches, site strategy, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time, compliant introductions.

You will manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications, mentor a matrixed team, and develop risk mitigation plans. A Bachelor’s in science or tech is required and an MBA is a plus; 5–10 years in manufacturing, supply chain or project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or technical field; MBA degree beneficial.
• 5-10 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, engineering and project management with broad business perspective.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply activities.
• Strong issue identification and problem analysis with data-driven solutions.
• Proficiency with program management tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of business financial systems and tools.
• Collaborative approach in a globally oriented work environment with proven leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of NPI projects from strategy, stakeholder management, scheduling, meetings, budget and supplier/customer management to meet filing and launch targets.
• Set and lead site NPI program strategy including stage-gate meetings and timelines.
• Matrix manage a team of site operations personnel for planned NPI projects.
• Create comprehensive project plans, budgets and strategies; translate plans into actionable steps.
• Establish and host periodic progress updates to plant management.
• Represent status to MES and external leadership as required.
• Anticipate roadblocks and develop risk-mitigation plans.
